I worked here as a Lead Software Developer on Accessibility in PeopleTools India team, PeopleSoft.
I was also the Single Point Of Contact for accessibility compliance of PeopleTools products in India and China development centres.
ORACLE maintains high standards with respect to accessibility, primarily because of the commitment to creating accessible products and we have a strong Oracle Accessibility Program.
I focused primarily on ensuring our software was WCAG 2.0 compliant, allowing complete screen-reader and keyboard navigation for various elements of PeopleTools application. I got the wonderful opportunity to stabilize PIA core in terms of accessibility for PeopleTools 8.55. I also provided sessions on accessibility to Tools and Apps teams to facilitate early inclusion of accessibility into product by developers.
Additionally, I was involved in development and maintenance of PIA Core Technology and Related Content Framework.
